Virtual Router(VR) is a key component of Apache CloudStack. It would be deployed in mostly every networks managed by CloudStack. VR provides many services like gateway, firewall, DHCP server and load balancer to vms in the network. So VR has lots of challenges to meet performance and scalability demands. Sheng would explain the current implementation of VR in detail and identify some key issues, e.g. scalability and update issues. Then he would talk about how the recent VR improvement works to address some of these issues. Finally Sheng would talk about future improvement plan of VR.
